There are many small countryside towns close to Riviersonderend.  Maybe you would like to go wine tasting in Ashton (58,7km) or cheese tasting in Bonnievale (43km).  Swellendam (57km) has beautiful Berry farms and offer liqueur tasting. Caledon Casino and Spa is only 49,5km away for those who love trying their luck at the machines.  Agulhas is also close by for a fantastic day at the southern tip of Africa.

Long trips are exhausting and therefore it is a good idea to stop and rest before you continue your journey. Riviersonderend is the halfway mark to many places and therefore if you are a rep working in the Overberg region, Harterus is the perfect overnight place for you.

Our three nights stay was perfect! We had a really warm welcome from Michelle and Pietie and we had always a great talk together. We have been served with some delicious food and got some really good advices for our further journey. Furthermore, they were so nice to drive us to the Vortex festival and pick us up at any time! We would defenetly stay again :)!!!
The rooms and furniture were nice and quite as well!

Peaceful and well-equipped. You are away from the main house, with your own bathroom. It's small but excellent for a good night's rest
